Personality
Steadfast, collected and loyal, Marton is more cynical and less proud than his coworkers, with deadpan quips. He is caring and observant but never lets that get in the way of his duties. He is also a quick, logical thinker, which suits the often emotional Hohenheim.
Story (spoilers)
Marton was likely scouted from the Backstreets by Hohenheim. In the check-up he took notes as an observer and joined in goading Don Quixote to remove Rocinante. During the House of Spiders raid in Canto IX, Hohenheim pulled him into the broadcast sector, and they joined a group aiming to restore power. When the Ring Nursefather found them and the Sinners were knocked out, Marton took on the sacrifice. He set his E.G.O Gear's Attunement to 120% and hypnotized the Nursefather for minutes, giving Hohenheim time. This saved Hohenheim and let power return, but it cost Marton his life.
