Limbus Company character

Ahab

Obsessed captain of the Pequod who hunts the Pallid Whale at any cost.

Ahab is the elderly peg-legged captain who led the whaling ship Pequod and later the survivors' settlement built from its wreck. She is the main antagonist of Canto V, driven by a single goal: killing the Pallid Whale. Players know her for her charisma and the GasHarpoon E.G.O.

Affiliation
New League of Nine Littérateurs; formerly Pequod Town and the Eight Association
First appearance
Canto V: The Evil Defining

Personality

Charismatic enough to unite crews from every background, but selfish and manipulative underneath. She treats people as tools for her hunt, calls her crew flimsy, and sees their deaths as a path to greatness. Nothing matters to her except the Whale, and she believes her own existence is the world.

Story (spoilers)

Ahab gathered a devoted crew, including Ishmael, and sailed the Pequod into the Great Lake after the Pallid Whale. The beast wrecked the ship and swallowed her and most of the crew. Inside it she slowed her own Pallidification through sheer will and founded Pequod Town with other survivors, hoping to reach the Whale's heart. When the Sinners arrived, she split everyone into two groups and sacrificed the whole town on the way to the heart. Tempted by the Voice, she rejected Distortion and manifested the GasHarpoon E.G.O, using Pip, Starbuck and Queequeg as ammunition. Ishmael broke it, and Dante persuaded Ishmael to kill the Whale instead, which stole Ahab's purpose and broke her mind. She survived, was picked up by Hermann, and joined the New League of Nine Littérateurs in exchange for the chance to kill every Pallid Whale across the Mirror Worlds. She later appears in Hongyuan in Canto VIII.
