Limbus Tier List

Limbus Company character

Dante

Amnesiac clock-headed manager of the LCB and the game's ever-present protagonist.

Dante is Sinner #10 and Executive Manager of Limbus Company's LCB department. They are the player's stand-in, a grounded, quippy manager with a prosthetic clock for a head who guides the twelve Sinners toward the Golden Boughs.

Affiliation
Limbus Company, Executive Manager of the LCB department
First appearance
Prologue: Selva Oscura

Personality

Grounded, passive and a little awkward, with jokes that rarely land. At first they were half-hearted and unsure how to lead, but they grew into a reliable manager who tailors advice to each Sinner. They are insecure about their missing memories, yet clearly care about the Sinners and want everyone to get along.

Story (spoilers)

The game opens with Dante deliberately wiping their memory and replacing their head with a prosthetic clock, only to be recruited by Limbus Company minutes later. Their past self seems to have been snarky and aggressive, a bigwig who did not value others' lives, but who they were remains a mystery. The clock gives Dante powers like a Singularity: they bind the Sinners into a contract, sense the Golden Boughs by resonating with them, revive Sinners by turning time back, and understand Distortions. Canto III is a turning point where they realize it is their job to lift the Sinners in their worst moments. By Canto VI and after, Dante has found their footing and many Sinners confide in them.
