Affiliation: Limbus Company; formerly the Pequod
Height: 171 cm (5'7")

Personality

Calm, level-headed and critical of foolishness, including her superiors. She backs up her haughty tone with competence, but her jabs can start arguments. She is antisocial yet slowly builds bonds, and she grows anxious and frantic when forced back to the water that cost her crew.

Story (spoilers)

Ishmael survived the Pequod's voyage, where her former captain Ahab led the crew to ruin. In Intervallo II she falls into neurosis on returning to those waters. In Canto V her rage at Ahab consumes her until she starts to act like her old captain. She realizes that only by letting the obsession go can she regain freedom and control, and the Pallid Whale is killed instead of leaving Ahab her prize. Afterwards she is more independent, still sharp but by her own choice, and has a close bond with Queequeg.
