Personality
Arrogant, booze-loving and violent, with a very short temper. She hits those under her whenever she is frustrated and shows Ryōshū contempt. She is bitter about her expulsion from the Thumb and believes one big accomplishment will get her reinstated. She is also skilled, dedicated to her goals, and rarely fair.
Story (spoilers)
Valencina was a Sottocapo of Famiglia Bognatelli, the home of the Palermitan style, but was demoted and disowned three days after her promotion. As Thumb Nursefather she trained Ryōshū in that style while abusing her, hoping the finished blade would win her way back. She fought in the Smoke War, became known as the War Hero of Famiglia Bognatelli, and stopped drinking and abusing for a while, until news that she would not be reinstated sent her back to her old habits. In Canto IX she and Lucio ambush Vergilius, and she takes Charon hostage to hinder him. Later, drunk in the Corridor of the Thumb, she orders the wounded Lucio to keep fighting the Sinners. She is listed as deceased.
