Poise damage dealer with a friendly-fire gimmick
Fell Bullet Yi Sang builds Poise and Torn Memory, then wants to shoot his own allies for bonus attack weight and damage. The idea is fun, but the numbers fall short: his ally-targeting Skill 3 deals far too little to kill a healthy teammate, so the main payoff rarely triggers. Played as a plain Poise attacker he still hits hard, especially with Skill 3, but he asks a lot of a team for a payoff that rarely arrives.
- Worth pulling?
- optional
- Uptie
- Uptie IV is only worth it if you plan to run him as a straight Poise attacker. It does not fix the core problem that his ally-targeting damage is too low to kill healthy teammates.
How to play
Build Poise and Torn Memory with Skill 1 and Skill 2, then fire Skill 3 once Torn Memory is high. Avoid using Skill 3 at 7 Torn Memory, since the stacks are lost and half its damage is wasted. Treat the ally-kill payoff as a bonus, not the plan, because it only works on allies that are already low or sacrificed on purpose.
- +Strong raw damage, especially Skill 3
- +Builds Poise and Torn Memory quickly
- +Powerful payoff on paper if an ally dies
- −Ally-targeting damage is too low to kill healthy units
- −Fatal blunt weakness and low HP
- −Wastes damage when Skill 3 is used at 7 Torn Memory
FAQ
- Is N Corp. Fell Bullet Yi Sang good?
- Not really. His damage is solid if you ignore the gimmick, but the friendly-fire payoff almost never works because his ally-targeting skill cannot kill anyone with normal HP. He is a fun curiosity more than a strong pick.
- How does Fell Bullet Yi Sang's friendly fire work?
- Skill 3 targets the lowest HP unit and, at 7 Torn Memory, can hit an ally as the main target. Killing an ally grants Fell Bullet next turn and extra Damage Up through his passives, but the damage is too low to kill most allies in one go.
- Which E.G.O should Fell Bullet Yi Sang use?
- Wishing Cairn is a useful pick because its passive gives blunt protection, which helps cover his Fatal blunt weakness. His own Fell Bullet E.G.O is the one tied to his friendly-fire gimmick.
