Self-deprecating Pinky apprentice who speaks and fights for the Dihui Star.

- Affiliation
- The Pinky; the House of Spiders, apprentice of the Dihui Star
- First appearance
- Canto IX: The Unsevering
Personality
Humble, near deadpan and strict. He follows his master's orders without complaint and belittles himself constantly, which oddly comes across as pride. He is fiercely loyal to the Dihui Star and skilled enough to imitate Ryōshū's techniques to a lesser degree, yet sees himself as only a stepping stone for her.
Story (spoilers)
The House of Spiders trained Ren to inherit the Pinky's title of Dihui Star, and he is implied to suffer a chronic illness. In Canto IX he fights the Sinners beside Albina in the HQ lab, and strikes her when she ignores their masters' plan. In the Corridor of the Pinky he offers the Sinners a choice between getting Araya back or the Golden Boughs. The Dihui Star then fights Ryōshū and is fatally wounded, and it is revealed that Ren's master was Araya. When Rien tells him he is free to leave, Ren chooses to fight Ryōshū anyway, wanting to defeat her and carry his master away. He and Sora are erased by the awakened power of Arayashiki and remain only in Dante's memory.
