Affiliation: Limbus Company; H Corp.; Daguanyuan
Height: 178 cm (5'10")

Personality

Curious like a child, ditzy and friendly, and often tactless. He shrugs off scorn and speaks casually even about attempted murder and abuse against him, as if it did not concern him. Beneath that he is gentle, perceptive and emotionally intelligent, with signs of passive suicidal thoughts and a sense of having no free will.

Story (spoilers)

Hong Lu grew up in a dangerous, expectation-heavy family. His learned helplessness traces back to the fall of the Kong family, and his relatives took advantage of his unwillingness to be himself. In Canto IV he plays Young-ji in the League of Nine play and gently reads Yi Sang's state of mind. In his Canto VIII arc, guided by Jia Qiu, he refuses the family elders who had long stripped him of his autonomy, and allows himself the emotions he suppressed. After confronting his grandmother he is more reflective, and is determined to speak up and be kind instead of staying silent.
