Bleed crit sweeper for long fights

A Pierce Gregor that looks like a Poise unit on paper but plays as a Bleed carry that crits very hard. He needs no Charge or heavy self-setup, and his Ammo passive turns Bleed on the target into big bonus damage. He shines in long fights and is weaker in short ones.

Worth pulling?
optional
Uptie
Not enough information to call Uptie IV a must. Prioritise him only if your team already stacks Bleed and you want a long-fight finisher.

How to play

Open with Negotiation Start to build a little Poise and Bleed, which keeps him Poise neutral. Unilateral Business is the workhorse: it clashes well and gets much stronger once the target carries about 14 Bleed. Hold Foregone Conclusion until the target has heavy Bleed (around 30) and he has solid Poise, then fire it on turn 2 or 3 for guaranteed crits. Keep the Ammo stacks for that skill and use Take a Breather to recover Poise on evade.

  • +Very high crit damage once Bleed and Poise are set
  • +Self-sufficient, little outside support needed
  • +Skill 2 is one of the strongest clashing second skills with enough Bleed
  • +Snowballs in long fights
  • −Skill 3 depends heavily on setup
  • −Skill 1 builds Poise slowly
  • −Weak in short encounters

FAQ

Is Twinhook Pirates First Mate Gregor good?
Yes in Bleed and Poise teams, where he works as a crit sweeper that scales over a long fight. He is a poor pick for short encounters, since his big skill needs setup.
Is Pirate Gregor a Bleed or Poise identity?
His kit reads as Poise, but in practice he is a Bleed identity that leans on crits. Without Poise E.G.O gifts he still functions because Bleed on the target powers his skills.
What E.G.O should Pirate Gregor use?
Legerdemain and Lantern are the strongest picks for crowd control and healing, with AEDD as the third option. They help survival and clashes more than they add synergy.
